Game within a Game? BINGO

Creating a game within the game is one of favourite ways to raise the focus and purpose within a tennis session. 

A game within a game is way of focusing attention toward a smaller task & away from larger less controllable tasks. There are lots of ways to do this but today we are sharing one our favourites, the Bingo board. 

On the free download linked below we have created bingo boards for exploring or specialising in a particular game style, mental skills boards associated with our Player Development model and the Tennis Competitor. Then finally a blank bingo board for your players to create their Me and My Game challenge board for their practice and matchplay. 

The idea behind the bingo boards is that either at the back of the court or near the change of ends, the players highlight/tickoff the challenges on the board as they play. For example on the Pressure Player board, saves a break point having made their first serve, they would highlight or tick off that box.
